We all know the New Year brings about talk and thoughts of resolutions. So, how do we get past the feelings of intention and turn them into transformation? What change do you want to achieve? There is a strong pairing between wanting to make a change and transforming yourself to implement the change. This strong pairing is bound by timing. The bottom line is the time has to be right. You have to know when the want to change is strong enough to put forth the dedication required to change. This dedication has to be stronger than the status quo. For instance, if one has the desire to stop smoking, the desire to stop must consistently be stronger than the desire to continue smoking. This consistency must be stronger until the desire to smoke is manageable in day to day life.
The timing of this true and strong desire may or may not hit at the New Year. This timing continues to evolve as one mentally prepares for the change by truly accepting and committing to the change. When your timing is right, you’ll know it and that is when you need to harness its power and put it into action.
