Oh no! A friend told me today that her marriage is on the rocks. I had been enjoying her husband’s photos on facebook, of an exciting vacation that he is taking. She is not along on the trip.
Meanwhile, just a week ago another friend posted a blog about a relationship issue from 1997. Between those stories and my own marriage ending (also quite some time ago), I’m coming up with some thoughts. It’s easy in hindsight, of course, but I’m in a sharing mood.
Breaking up can take a long time, especially from a long relationship. Sometimes it’s a matter of not realizing that there are problems. Sometimes there are cycles, of trying to improve things and hopelessness, that have to play out. If you can say “I did all I could,” it becomes easier to let go.
Appearances can be deceiving. Some breakups come as a shock because the people seemed to be happy and perfect for each other. Sometimes what looks like a hot mess of a marriage endures.
Much of this happened before I found Spellmaker, but now I think of what spells I could do if I was any of the people in these situations. Writing down your petitions and reflecting during the spells can really focus what you need to do, and the attitude you need to take, especially for a complicated situation.
As it turned out, nearly 20 years later, all three of the people in the Titanic blog had wonderful marriages to different people. PLI girlfriend especially found someone she could be herself with, and bloomed beyond what we would have imagined back then.
Sometimes a relationship is worth the effort to keep it, and sometimes letting go opens up a person to wonderful new possibilities. Attract Love to Me is a great spell to head in the right direction. Spellmaker’s caseworkers are available to help, and a reading with Mambo Sam, Sister Bridget, or Brother Menfó can get you focused in the right direction.
