We celebrate Ogoun in July here at Spellmaker, because his feast day is the 25th and heat suits him. Don’t forget our prayer session this month dedicated to him, on Sunday the 26th at 2:00 PM Eastern (1 PM Central, 12 PM Mountain, 11 AM Pacific).
Ogoun is seen as a very masculine Lwa, but one of his syncretized saints is St. Barbara. Barbara is the patroness of artillery and its related trades. Today we hear about mighty girls, and Barbara was one of the originals. She can be strong and powerful and also feminine. If you need the iron fist in a velvet glove, ask her.
Spellmaker offers some wonderful products dedicated to Ogoun. I especially like the Nago Man incense and the Iron Sword oil. Another resource we have is Sister Bridget, a priestess of Ogoun, who offers readings and lamps with the guidance of this powerful Lwa. Try them to help with your case, and we’ll see you at the ritual!
