The end of October is a time when vodouisants start preparing and planning for Fet Ghede to celebrate the burying of the old and rising of the new. The Ghede, which are a large group of lwa and Baron Samedi and Mamam Brigitte are honored and served. Ancestors are also severed and called upon for honor and guidance. You do not have to be a vodouisant to server your Ancestors. Anyone can serve them and this time of year is a great time to do it as the veil thins. Service to Ancestors is practiced throughout the world and a part of many different religions.
To help you honor your Ancestors, Mambo Sam and Parran Matt are offering Maman Brigitte’s Ancestor Memorial Candle (https://www.etsy.com/listing/207245046/maman-brigittes-ancestor-memorial-candle). This handcrafted, made to order candle is dedicated to your Ancestors. This candle comes complete with oil and incense. Order by October 24th so you’ll have it in time for Fet Ghede!
Peace & Love,
