With the winter season cooling things down in the northern hemiphere, a nice hot bath sure sounds inviting to warm us up. What better way to enjoy a bath than with one of Spellmaker.com Haitian Formula Vodou Baths. Baths are a part of the Haitian Vodou tradition for cleansing and blessings. Please visit www.spellmaker.com/cleanseyou.htm to discover what you could most benefit from and enjoy.

The Spellmaker family is doing a free, online ritual to Erzulie Dantor on Thursday, December 6th at 9 PM Eastern Time (8 PM Central Time, 7 PM MountainTime, 6 PM Pacific Time). The ritual will include live music and more to honor Erzulie Dantor.
The Spellmaker prayer page includes information on how to join the free ritual. In addition, I have included some information below from the Spellmaker prayer page that gives a detailed background on Erzulie Dantor and what this amazing Lwa is known for:
"Not to be confused with her sister, Erzulie Freda, Erzulie Dantor is a bold and passionate protector of women and children, patron lwa of lesbians and New Orleans, and fiery fighter for justice! She is also considered a goddess of love, but more along the lines of bringing maturity and stability to a relationship as well as grounding it. So if you are desiring to petition Erzulie Dantor in your love case, you are welcome to do so, just so long as your petition is about growth, maturity, stability, etc. While Dantor is the patron of women and children, she also has a special place in her heart for men and wants them to be mature, protective, and a stabilizing force in their relationships. The bottom line, she is not going to be about frivilous petitions such as, "I want Johnny to give me more presents and stuff!" She is going to be much more likely to respond to thoughtful petitions such as, "I would like for both Johnny and I to be in a mature, grounded relationship where we learn from each other and share our thoughts and feelings." Erzulie Dantor is also there for our petitions for protection against mental, physical, or spiritual abuse. Also, for help with any problems with children and teenagers, financial security, and general grounding".
We hope to see you at the free online ritual on Thursday, December 6th!
Love and Light,
Khouzhan Dedi

The holidays are a stressful time for many people, and as a result the shelters for battered women will be busier. Most rely on donations, and you can search for your local organizations to find out what they need. Some possibilities are:
• Gently used or new clothing and shoes for women and children, and new undergarments. Women's larger sizes are particularly needed, when you consider most clothing is donated as it is outgrown.
• Toiletries, particularly sample sizes. Tampons and pads, toilet paper. Bedding and towels.
• Books and magazines, toys and games, school supplies, backpacks. Baby items, such as diapers, wipes, and formula.
• Grocery or discount store gift cards. Food, and cleaning products. Cell phones are given to women in order for them to dial 911 in an emergency. Cash is always welcome to cover the shelter's expenses.
Future first lady Abigail Adams writes to her husband, John Adams, in 1776,
"I long to hear that you have declared an independency. And, by the way, in the new code of laws which I suppose it will be necessary for you to make, I desire you would remember the ladies and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the husbands."
While Abigail talks about the ladies, I urge you also to remember the men. While abuse of children, disabled, and elderly happens to both sexes, there are also adult men, able-bodied, "never would believe it," who are physically and emotionally abused. They also need support and protection.
Erzulie Dantor is the Lwa who protects women and children, and I have asked (and will again) for her intervention for men. Dantor will help bring abuse situations to light, but she needs our help with the physical side of it. By donating to charities, we become her hands. By listening and advising, we become her voice.
It's difficult to confront someone who you believe to be abused. When people experience abuse as children, that is what they see as normal. It may be wisest to seek professional advice before talking to a friend, if they are not in immediate danger.
Erzulie Dantor can help with other situations as well, including love cases. Please join us for a ritual to Erzulie Dantor, December 6, 2012, 9 pm Eastern time (8 pm Central, 7 pm Mountain, 6 pm Pacific).

Merriam-Webster defines an obstacle as: something that impedes progress or achievement. I define an obstacle as a detour to the truth.
Obstacles are not meant to stop you, just to slow you down a little so you can think. If you are doing spell work on someone or something, the obstacles that occur are really leading you down the right path.
I know we all want immediate gratification when we are doing spell work, me included. But when we let situations unfold with the time needed, the right answers and the right situations occur. Being patient with your situation is so important.
Slow down, I made a “DO NOT DWELL” list which is with me all the time so I can remember that my HD obstacle is working its way out. I have been sad, and cried a lot, but also gotten some things done around the house which has been great.
I just pulled my “DO NOT DWELL” list which is tattered and torn and well used:
Clean bathrooms
Re-organize pantry
Clean counters
Mop floors
Re-organize knife drawer
Clean Kitchen Island
Organize coat closet
Clean clothing closet
De-ball cashmere sweaters
Paint storage bins – move to living
room
Figure out what need to be altered
Buy gray socks
Clean drawers out
Go to IKEA for lunch
Ride bike to the duck pond
Write blog
Sit ups
Clean balcony
Read
Take bed apart
Look up recipes
Buy the ingredients
Clean under sink
Plan a small get together
Tape bathroom for painting
You can always do candle work too www.spellmaker.com be patient and you will get the right answers.
Love to you all, Khouzhan Ann xoxo
Attached are photos of my actual list, enjoy the chicken scratch!!!!

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed.
Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.
