Hi Everyone - Khouzhan Finn here. I've quoted Jennifer Hoffman before and, as I read this today, I thought you might find her words useful - especially those of you who are doing spellwork or advising those doing spellwork. She writes:
" During my corporate career I worked as a technical consultant in a large company and although I was fortunate to have a great manager, the department director was, to put it mildly, rather difficult. She always wanted everything done right away and would not accept any excuses. Of course her timelines were unreasonable, there was no way anyone could accomplish what she wanted done within the time frame she thought was possible and she had a tendency to fire those who moved too slowly.
My very diplomatic manager tried to reason with her and he would tell her that a project could not be done in her time frame by saying:
It takes one woman nine months to have a baby. Nine women can't have a baby in one month.
Then she would laugh and agree with him and we would negotiate a more reasonable timeline. Yes, it's a funny saying but it is true and you can't argue with it. And every time I think of it I am reminded that there is a process to everything and when we try to hurry things along, rush through situations or take things out of order, we get a less than optimal result that doesn't meet our needs.
A baby that is born too soon is called 'pre-mature', meaning that it is born before it is fully developed and these babies require complicated intervention to enable them to survive in an environment they are not yet ready for. And that is what we do when we don't allow things in our lives to fully mature, to let them develop at their own pace and allow ourselves to understand all of the different aspects that a lesson is presenting us with. We try to create something that we are not yet ready for because there are other things we need to take care of first."
Hoffman continues by giving us an example from her own energetic counseling experience with this story:
" I recently had a session with a client who called to find out why he was stuck in his life, his business was not progressing, he wasn't making money and although he was working hard, the results just weren't there. But rather than address these issues, the reading focused on where he was putting his energy, how he was supporting family and friends and scattering his energy in ways that did not support him or his dreams. We talked about how he needed to have stronger boundaries and manage his own energetic resources because he could not focus on his business when he was not present in his own energy. Managing the lives and needs of a dozen different people left no time or energy for his own life, much less taking care of his business.
As he remarked several times during the session, this wasn't what he had expected but while he may have wanted to hear the 'good' news, that his business was going to be fine and money would be pouring in, he needed to take a look at how he was preventing these things from happening because he was energetically out of alignment with what he wanted to create. Success was possible when he could focus his energy on it. And while he wanted to rush through a challenging aspect of his lessons, which involved learning to say ' no' to some people and 'yes' to his dreams, he couldn't because this lesson would have also been mirrored in his business. When we have a lesson that affects us in one area, it resonates through every part of our life.
We feel stuck or can't make things work because we are out of alignment and unbalanced energetically. This usually means that we are trying to push towards something without completing all of the necessary learning, healing, growth and understanding that it requires. No one likes to wait, we all want what we want when we want it, but getting what we really need, to manifest what is in our best and highest good, means going through the process, one step at a time, in the best order so we are perfectly aligned with what we want to create.
Instead, we try to rush the process, putting more time and attention into what is not working rather than looking for the lesson or learning that is trying to come to the surface. The more we feel stuck, the more solutions we throw at the problem. But like the nine women, we are not going to shorten the process of giving 'birth' to the changes we are trying to create. And if we do manage to rush the process, we may end up with a a pre-mature result that is a result but not the best result.
Where in your life do you feel stuck? That is where you are energetically out of balance. What do you try to do, make happen, create or force to get things moving? Where are you resisting the detachment or stillness which is where you may need to spend some time before you can find the solutions you are seeking? There are times when we need to stop 'doing' and let ourselves 'be' to give birth to the most wonderful, miraculous results. And then everything happens exactly as we need it to and the result is what we wanted and more because we are aligned with the results we want to create and don't try to create an outcome before we are ready for it and it is perfect for us.
There are always opportunities to go over old scenery, revisit the past, choose to stay in old emotions or shift our lives in other directions. Whatever you choose is right for you, fits within your learning commitment, holds the understanding and healing you have to do and when you are ready, another opportunity will come up so you can revisit your 'tricky sticky' energy and decide whether you are ready for a change. Just remember that some changes take time and this is a journey, not a destination.
Become the observer in your life as you stay focused on your path in this moment.
Stay calm, detached and aware and remember your thoughts are creating every moment of your life. Think the best ones.
As you ponder this and the other things that are happening at this time remember to:
Accept all gifts of understanding with gratitude and use them to apply forgiveness, release and healing to every situation. "
I hope you find Jennifer Hoffman's words informative, insightful and helpful. I did.
In Love and Service,
Khouzhan Finn
