So I have the whole famn damily at my house this week. Luckly I'm at work today while the kangaroo court is going on at the house, but beginning at some point this evening, I won't have work as my santuary. How am I going to deal? Well, I'm going to ask my buddy Damballah to help.
Tyically, I do yoga in the morning and a prayer to Damballah with a short meditation period at the end. But this week is different so I'll have to modify my stress management practice. When I feel the stress level rise and I know I need to keep my composure, I'll head into the garage (no one will bother me there...it is cold and a mess). I can come up with a million reasons why I was in there because its kind of my man cave. Anyway, that's when I'll close my eyes and take some deep breaths while counting to 10 slowly. I'll relax my head, neck, shoulders all the way down to my toes. Once I've reached 10, I'll say my prayer to Damballah asking him to keep my head clear, calm and composed. Repeat as needed.
