Lavender has always been associated with relaxation. When you smell this sweet fragrant elixir, you are calmed, and relaxed. Its Latin name – Aura Acacia (breath of heaven grown from the earth) is symbolic of it gentle yet very powerful energy. The Romans used lavender in their bath houses as a fragrant perfume. The bath houses were call lavare which is a Latin derivative of lavender.
It was used for medicinal purposes in the Medieval Times. Lavender made its way to commercial use by the Quakers who introduced a variety of bath and beauty products we use today. Its romantic scent is said to have been used by Cleopatra to seduce Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony.
You don’t have to be a player like Cleopatra to enjoy the enticing benefits of Lavender; www.spellmaker/bargain.htm has a Lavender Lace Sugar Body Scrub. It is as refreshing as it is fragrant and very reasonably priced. It makes a wonderful gift for all the woman and even some of the men in your life.
Stay beautiful, XO Ann
