Want more natural looking curls but can't seem to get the look you want with a regualar curling iron? Try curling your hair with a flat iron instead! Here's how:
Make sure your hair is completely dry and brushed thoroughly. I like to use the flat iron to curly my hair the day after I've washed my hair. Curls hold longer this way because of the natural oils in your hair.
Next, use a straight iron that is approximately 1"-1.5" verses the flat irons that are 2" wide or larger. Curls will be tighter this way but much more natural looking than using a regular curling iron.
Curl one side of your head at a time using small sections starting from the base of neck moving to the middle of your head.
When finished, run your fingers through your hair to give the curls a natural, tosseled look. Spritz lightly with hair spray for a gentle hold.
