Halloween is just a few weeks away! If you’re looking for a fun treat your kids can help make and take to school for their classmates, Pillsbury has the perfect solution; Owl Cookies! They are quick, fun, and easy to make; plus they are super cute:
Cute Owl Cookies:
Ingredients:
- 1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated sugar cookies
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 32 creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 16 brown candy-coated chocolate candies
- 8 orange candy-coated chocolate candies
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut dough evenly into 16 slices and place on on ungreased cookie sheet. Place slices 2 inches apart and press dough out to a 2 1/2-inch round. With a paring knife, cut a small "V" out of the top. Pinch cookie dough to form 2 ears on top of each slice. Bake and cool cookies as directed on package; reshaping dough as necessary after baking to keep shape.
To decorate, separate sandwich cookies, leaving creme filling on one side. Set aside chocolate cookies with no creme filling for another use. Spread melted chocolate on each owl cookie. Immediately press 2 chocolate cookies, creme sides up, on each owl cookie to make eyes. Press 1 brown chocolate candy on each eye to make pupil. Add 1 orange chocolate candy to each to make nose.
Your kids will love giving these cute critter cookies that they helped make to their classmates!
