In my opinion, it's never too early to begin thinking about decorating for fall and for Halloween! And if you happen to be someone that doesn't necessarily want to carve jack-o-lanterns in order to decorate your home, below are some easy no-carve pumpkin decorating ideas for you to try:
1. Use different colored ribbon and rickrack to decorate your pumpkins. Start at the top of the pumpkin at the stem and hot-glue the ribbon or rickrack along the veins of the pumpkin to create beautiful designs.
2. Add different colored fall leaves to a white pumpkin. Flatten leaves under a book for 5-7 days. Next, brush decoupage glue onto your white pumpkin and arrange the leaves on the pumpkin. Once the leaves are added to the pumpkin, coat the surface with decoupage glue.
3. Add seashells to pumpkins. Use a hot glue gun to decorate white and orange pumpkins with sea shells of different shapes and sizes.
4. Decorate with buttons. Spell out the word "Boo" on an orange pumpkin with black or blue buttons of different sizes. Use a hot glue gun to attach the buttons to the pumpkin and finish it off by tying a black or blue bow around the stem.
5. Mummify your pumpkins. Wrap a pumpkin in white gauze leaving just the stem at the top of the pumpkin exposed. Add two googlie eyes to the front of the pumpkin to make a face. Next, paint the cheesecloth with glow in the dark paint to give it a spooky, glowing effect.
