- Switch to silk pillow cases: I think most people sleep on cotton pillow cases. However, there are several benefits to switching to silk or satin. Not only is silk better for your skin, but it will also do wonders for your hair. Cotton can rob your hair of moisture and is more likely to cause bed head; especially if you have bangs. Cotton is also harsher on your hair causing damage and split ends.
- Massage your scalp: Giving yourself a scalp massage every morning in the shower may seem silly and a waste of time, but it really does stimulate your hair growth and enhance the strength of your roots.
- Use a wide-tooth Comb or Pick: Combing tangles out of your wet hair with a brush or thin-tooth comb can cause damage and breakage to your hair. Using a wide-took comb or pick won't tug and pull your hair like a regular brush and won't damage your hair as you remove tangles.
- Dry your hair before you style it: When you place a curling iron or flat iron on wet or damp hair, it creates very hot steam and cause damage to your hair. Before using a hot iron of any kind, play it safe and make sure your hair is completely dry.
