Hi Everyone,
Whenever I sit down to work with our beloved Erzulie Freda, I read Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116 to her. Why? Because she LOVES it!! (And I can’t blame her. It's always been a favorite of mine, too!) If you aren't familiar, give it a good read and think about how it relates to those of you who refuse to give up on true love. It pretty much says what those who are doing love spell work feel in their hearts, and it’s this type of viewpoint that has brought many to Erzulie Freda for help with a troubling love situation.
SONNET 116
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
So, next time you call upon Erzulie Freda, feel free to share Sonnet 116 with her. She will love hearing it from you, and enjoy spending time with you helping to bring more love into your life!!
All My Love,
Sister Candelaria
