I absolutely LOVE this quote! There are so many wonderful reasons to smile during the day, and it's a proven fact that the act of smiling lifts your spirits and generally just plain makes you feel better (even if you weren't feeling that great to start)! In fact, research has shown that smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers, and serotonin into your system. Plus, smiling makes you look younger, relieves stress, boosts your immunity system, and lowers your blood pressure. So, you can't help but feel better when you smile and it's healthy for you, too!
WOW! From where I'm standing, you'd be crazy NOT to smile!! LOL
Based on all of that, I would like you to try a little something I like to call Smile Therapy. For the next 24 hours, find a reason to smile at least once per hour. Now, I'm not saying to plaster a fake smile on your face, and look like someone jammed a coat hanger into your mouth! We don't need everyone at work referring to you as the creepy guy, now do we?! lol Seriously though, try to find something to smile about (And genuinely give it a good smile, too! Not one of these whimpy half smiles that doesn't convince yourself or anyone else of anything.). It could be a cleaver comment made by a colleague at work, or person walking down the street with an adorable puppy, a daisy growing up out of a crack in the sidewalk, watching your children pay in the yard, or even the thought that Sister Candi wants you to smile very hour on the hour! LOL
There are so many things that can make us smile during the day, if we just pay attention!! So, give Smile Therapy a try and see where it lifts you...Mind, Body, and Spirit!!
