Songs For Spell Casters

Ah, Music.  It holds a very special place in my life, as I think it does for everyone.  The world over, music holds a personal and dear place in everyone's heart.  I'm no different.  In fact, this is a very little known factoid about me (I think Mambo Sam is the only one that knows this little tidbit.), but I used to be a disc jockey.  Yep, that's right...your Candelaria, before she wielded the pointy stick that you all know and love, was a bona fide radio personality!

Soooooo, in honor of that special time in my life, I would like to occasionally share some of my favorite "Songs for Spell Casters" with you.  Now, I don't necessarily mean that I am sharing songs that you will use to cast spells (heehee), BUT more that these are songs that might be of help to you as you cast and when you're in the waiting period while your spells manifest.  These are songs that I like and that inspire me.  Hopefully they will inspire you, too. :-)

This song is the first one I want to share.  Every time I hear it, it seems to sum up for me someone who will not give up on true love...someone who has cast spells, enlisted the help of les lois, made his or her intentions known, and will not take no for an answer.  This is kind of how you have to feel about your spell work.  For me, it says, "I love you.  I am willing to give you the time and space you need to work things out.  I'm patiently waiting and I will be here when you're ready because, I refuse to give up on love."

"White Flag"
   by Dido

I know you think that I shouldn't still love you,
Or tell you that.
But if I didn't say it, well I'd still have felt it
where's the sense in that?

I promise I'm not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I know I left too much mess and
destruction to come back again
And I caused nothing but trouble
I understand if you can't talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of "it's over"
then I'm sure that, that makes sense

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

And when we meet
Which I'm sure we will
All that was there
Will be there still
I'll let it pass
And hold my tongue
And you will think
That I've moved on....

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I JUST LOVE THIS SONG!!  I hope you do, too.

Light and much love,
Candelaria
