Selecting your New Dog
My parents are in the process of looking for a new dog. When I was younger my family would often take in strays. This was fine because ina family of 5 there was always someone home to feed it, walk it, give it love, etc. Now that I am older and I dont live with quite so many people, I understand the importance of putting effort into selecting your pet as opposed to your pet selecting you. I really like animals, and I think sometimes when people are going through hard times having a pet around can help a lot. It is constant companionship, and love when you feel absolutely alone and unlovable.
I am a huge advocate for adopting older dogs. They have a lot of love to give and generally speaking you can avoid the puppy chaos. I liked this article and wanted to share it for anyone considering an addition to their own family.
