Uses For Potions Part 2
Wood burning stoves are a really common heating source here in New Mexico. I have never lived with one before, and I have to admit, I love it! Ours heats the house really well, and it is pleasant to be around. Since it is very dry in the winter we keep a kettle on ours to act as an old fashioned humidifier.
A friend recommended that we try a few drops of lavender oil in the kettle to help us sleep. CH and I did try it and both loved it. We found that it makes the whole house smell wonderful, and makes us both calm and more ready for sleep.
When we ran out of oil I forgot to get more. One night last winter while I was making dinner CH was making the fire. I smelled a very familiar smell but could not place it. I asked him if he knew what it was and he sheepishly confessed to using something he found in the Voodoo drawer. (YES, I have a Voodoo drawer) All of my labels have either been removed of fallen off, but he put the Bedroom Bordeaux Potion into the kettle. We both really liked the smell. Now we alternate between the Bedroom Bordaux, Big Bank Roll, and Samantha’s Spiritual Anointing oil. They all smell wonderful, and have good effects.
